Gate valves

Gate valves have a full bore flow. It is suitable for media such as waste water, clean water, neutral gases and air. You can choose between resiliant seated valves with NBR wedge or EPDM wedge which is drinking water approved, as well as metal seated valves in different materials. Media, pressure and temperature controls the choice of material.
The gate valve is often manually operated. At high differential pressures it has a relatively high friction. The valve will require more powerful actuators which will result in higher operating costs, compared to for example a butterfly valve.
The gate valve is tight in both flow directions and can advantageously be used as an end of the line valve. It has also good tightness towards the atmosphere due to its cylindrical atmospheric seal.
